Carved French Easel |
This beautiful French easel is handcrafted in Indonesia. The craftsman, Karman, has been creating beautiful antique furniture reproductions for many years, using age-old carving techniques. The genuine Bolivian mahogany was originally planted as decorative shading trees and wind breaks around teak plantations. Great time and care is taken to dry and protect this wood before the easel begins to take shape.
This French display easel is reminiscent of Louis XV. Minor distressing gives these pieces a look of authenticity. Each easel will have its own unique character. The overall appearance is beautifully authentic.
Please Note:
This traditional easel design uses a friction pin to hold the shelf in place. Once you have chosen your shelf setting, we recommend placing a tiny wood screw on the back of the main support mast for added security.
As with all solid wood furniture, a small amount of expanding or contracting is normal as humidity levels shift throughout the year.
